39 Weeks

So close to meeting my baby girl!
I've given up on expecting her to show up early. No big deal ;)

To pass the time, I've been learning as much as I can about being behind the camera. It'll come in handy since I've decided to take my own newborn pictures of Ila. I want to have full rights of the photos and the freedom to do what I want with them. To start off the professional side of this hobby I ordered a backdrop stand, a few backdrops, reflector and reflector arm, some sand bags and a tripod. All of this was around $200. By teaching myself some simple skills using online tutorials and advice from other bloggers I'm saving on average $400 on JUST newborn pictures.

Something else I've been playing with is photoshop. As I've mentioned before, I want to eventually build this blog up as a pretty fancy selling tool (say my dream of becoming something comes true.) So I started by drawing portraits! It's fun and I'd like to say I'm damn good at it.

More to come!

Sorry to be changing the name of the blog like this, but welcome to:
