38 Weeks

So much has happened in the last 4 weeks.
Everything but Ila's arrival...

Ev & I flew to Oklahoma to celebrate my grandmothers 90th birthday with my parents, brother and sister-in-law.

Ev's job is bringing us back to Philadelphia! We will be spending the next five years in the city of brotherly love. We have purchased a house and are designing it just how we want it. Choosing each option for the home is fun but overwhelming when we're suppose to have it all done by next week!

For a little over a week, Ila decided to be head up. A breeched baby hurts man! I rarely ate and had trouble breathing. Her positioning herself like so gave me little room for my own well being. The midwives suggested drinking as much water as possible as well as getting into certain positions that we've learned in our birthing classes (tailor sitting, squatting and pelvic rocking.) By positioning myself, with Ev's help, we were able to flip the baby back (possibly by coincidence) in less than 24 hours.

Ev, Aaron (friend) and I celebrated Adam's (Ev's brother) 28th birthday in Vegas last weekend. We stayed at The Cosmopolitan, our first time at the hotel and can definitely say we will be going back. Great service, food, the room was beautiful! Wrap around balcony made Vegas that much more enjoyable. I finally learned how to make a proper paper plane, one went right over the freeway to the Rio!

We had Ila's last ultrasound yesterday. She is fully engaged, meaning her head is in place and ready to slide on out. This is fantastic news but made it very difficult for the ultrasound technicianto take any great photos. Not to mention, she was sleeping the entire 30 minutes so we didn't get much movement. We we're poking her quite a bit, playing loud music and using daddy's voice to wake her up but didn't get anyreaction. All of these are obviously annoying but certainly safe, thus making her give us a good shot of her pouty face! If she's able to sleep through us annoying her, we might have a pretty peaceful baby in our hands.

I don't know when Ila will be here. Early signs are showing, but if you know me you know I don't believe in old wives tales. I do however think "THIS IS IT! SHE'S COMING!" every time I have a painful contraction. The contractions may be painful but aren't consistent enough for me to be in labor.

Everything is ready for her arrival. Daddy even joined in on our last errand run last night! With our gift certificates from friends and family, we made our final necessary purchases. We'll test them out & report back :)

READY TO POP!
(still no stretch marks, woohoo <3)
