Merry Christmas!
Evan & I Skyped as we opened our family's stockings & exchanged gifts. It's a pretty big deal to get accepted into your partners family. Evan has been accepted since day one, but he received his seal of approval this morning when Santa left his stocking full. My mother is a fantastic quilter and made Evan a stocking, matching the rest of our family's stockings. Lee Ila also received one from my mother (no name on it quite yet because she still thinks I'm as indecisive as I use to be.)
What could possibly top that? How about my Mom making Evan & I a QUILT. It's beautiful and absolutely the most meaningful gift we could've ever received.
Yesterday, the Eagles won! The Jets lost (our necessary win for the Eagles to be able to make it to the playoffs) but that's okay. Evan & the rest of our boys played extremely well. I'm especially happy he made it back to Philly safe & uninjured.
In other news, I've booked my flight to Alabama! Thor and I will arrive on January 4th, "twenty twelve." Excited about seeing Evan's family!
