Munchkin No More

Little Ila Bear is no longer a tiny wittle baby, but then again she really never was ;) Ila weighs 17 lbs and is too wiggly for me to measure her height. She barely stays still for her diaper change and has been fighting herself in her sleep so we're forced to swaddle the poor kid. She's rolling on both sides and is able to flip back onto her back if she needs. Her noises are hysterical & she's talking constantly. Here she is in all of her glory, enjoy!

My parents came to stay with me for three weeks while Ev was away at Training Camp. I don’t know what I would have done without their help and most importantly, their patience. I was able to move in to our house in three weeks & worry free thanks to their presence. They worked their bottoms off but that doesn’t mean they didn’t have fun. They played tourist on most of their outings, I even joined in a few times. We had such a wonderful time together and I can’t wait till they are back.

My parents, Ila and I drove an hour to the spectacular Ocean City, New Jersey! What a great place for some family time. Sun, sand & smiles all around.

Ev, visiting us during training camp, asked Thor to Smile for the camera and we got this gem instead, what a stud muffin.

Another day out in Philly, exploring Reading Terminal, an underground market full of fresh foods and products from local vendors. Ila was so happy!

My grandmother from Vermont had the time of her life going behind the scenes at the preseason game against the Bengals.

Ila enjoying the rain coming down!

Just a random memory I want to add to this fine collection: While walking the trail by the river, my friend Deanna's dog decided to run off to chase some geese and jumped into the river to catch one. Well, the dog never caught a goose but did get stuck from the 6 foot drop into the water. I was wearing shorts and my friend in pants, so I decided to jump in. People came over to tell us that I couldn't lift him up and over but HAA- I did. AND WHAT.

Our friend’s daughter turned 5 this weekend and invited us to her birthday party! We had such a great time meeting Dora The Explorer, Scooby Doo & The Cookie Monster, we even gave the bounce houses a shot and loved them!

Last night was Eagle’s Flight Night, a night when the birds practice at the stadium in front of thousands of fans. Signed items were donated from players and coaches and sold at the Wives’ Yard Sale so fans were able to purchase and take home some personal pieces that most fans would never be able to find, like a signed Cheerios box or a beer bottle opener. Money was donated to The Eagles Youth Partnership.

When the flight night was over, Ila and I met up with our BFFs Kyla and her mommy Laura downstairs in the stadium’s family room. These two kiddos are two weeks apart and are starting to really enjoy each other’s company. Outfit’s gifted by the fantastic Cassie (who we miss dearly and should hurry back to Philly fast before Hurricane Isaac hits!

Sorry it's taken me so long to give you guys a baby update, she's a freakin doll and I'm having too much fun with her and not with my computer.

As of now, Ev & I have NOT discussed a date, location or anything related to a wedding. We are taking our time making sure that our decision is perfect.

What I do know is that I’m looking forward to spending time with my family and less with finishing tasks from  my to do lists.

Built for Beasts

After one month of living in our cookie cutter house in Philadelphia, I have successfully finished the first floor. The idea behind our design was comfort. The floor plan suggested that we have the dining room and living room combined then the breakfast nook where our dining room is. That wouldn't work for our family because we are beasts and bought couches that are nearly 4 feet deep and abnormal long. All of our furniture is built for giants. Almost every piece is from Restoration Hardware, the kitchen appliances are GE Monogram and the art is from The Rittenhouse Square Art Fair. Enjoy!
